Cancellation & Refund Policy
Last updated: August 2026
Ahara is a small home kitchen: everything is cooked fresh, in small batches, for the day it's ordered. That means our cancellation and refund terms work a little differently from a typical restaurant or online store, and we'd rather be upfront about exactly how it works than leave you guessing.
Cancelling your order
You can cancel any time before we start cooking, free of charge: just message us on WhatsApp or call with your order number. Once preparation has started, we usually can't cancel or substitute, since your meal is already being made specifically for you. If you're not sure whether it's too late, ask us: we'll tell you honestly where things stand.
If we're running late
Fresh cooking occasionally runs behind, especially around high-demand days. If your order is going to be significantly delayed, we'll message you on WhatsApp as soon as we know. You can choose to wait, or cancel that order free of charge.
If a dish sells out
Each day's thali is cooked in a limited batch. If we sell out of something you've ordered before we've confirmed it, we'll let you know right away and offer either a substitute from that day's menu or a free cancellation, whichever you prefer.
Payment and refunds
Right now, payment is collected at the time of delivery (cash or UPI), not in advance online, so most cancellations simply mean no charge ever happens. If you've paid us in advance for any reason and a valid cancellation applies, we'll refund that amount to your original payment method within 5–7 business days.
Quality issues after delivery
If something arrives wrong, damaged, or not as described, contact us the same day with your order number and a photo if you can. We'll make it right: a replacement, a credit toward your next order, or a refund, depending on the situation.
